What I read was pretty interesting. Only got one 1911 so I'm not really knowledgeable about the platform. Love the way they shoot though.

Very easy to disassemble completely. Once you take off the grips there are 3 4 pins and the insides just drop right out. You might set in on a friend and watch. I just dived in and went to work. I had done my Remington R1 earlier for parts upgrades so I have taken it apart 4 or 5 times. Last night I woke up at 1:25 a.m. and was just wide awake. I took my S&W apart and stoned all the surfaces that touch and add friction. I also to some 1000 grit to the slide rails to knock of all the sand blasted surface look. Cleaned her back with the stones and some spary cleaner and put it back together. Now she is nice and smooth and the trigger is a little better. Everything works just a little smoother. Took me about 3 hours to complete.
