Radical Firearms barrel. 16”, 5.56, carbine-length gas system.

Feed ramps had burrs at the top, and horizontal grooves from crappy machining.

This pic shows the left ramp with the grooves removed by polishing by hand with stones. Right ramp has only had a quick hit with a Cratex bit.

You’ll also see that the left side of the left ramp is not straight.

This pic shows both ramps stoned to remove the grooves, and the sides of the ramp straightened.

I should have taken some more pics, but this is the final product, after polishing with felt bobs and 3 consecutively finer grits of polishing compound. Hard to get a good pic of shiny stuff like this with an iPhone……or at least it is for me.

The gas port on this barrel should be .0625”. The one on this barrel is .090”. My recommendations were a new barrel, or a Black River Tactical EZ Tune gas tube.
