A walk around Begur, Catalonia.........

Pretty hill town, lovely friendly people, great food and wine, sitting in the sun, having a coffee or a beer and talking with friends and family is one of the joys of life........

The fort, first built over 1000 years ago, sold in 1607 to the town which turned out to be a good deal as some 200 years later Napoleon knocked it down.....

Our hotel, built in 1866 and very quirky, the family made their money in Cuba, came home and built it...........

Should say we live in France, the cheap bit, for half the year so that makes short trips to other places easy and cheap. That was our retirement plan.
