Does it run? If it is too big of a POS to care about going the abandoned property route, just call a tow truck to come get it. If they want it they can pay for it at the impound.

I have dealt with this before. Go to the DMV and apply for an abandoned title. You will receive an all new title in your name in the mail. You then have the legal right to dispose of the vehicle as you see fit. Sell it, recycle it, blow it up, whatever you want.

I contacted the son about the truck and he texts me back that he sold it to a guy. I asked him for the guy's name and number so I could contact him directly. The son said he just talks to the guy on facebook so he would ride over there and tell him to get it.

So lemme get his story straight. He sold the truck to someone over the internet -- who could be anybody really, since you don't have to use your real info on FB -- sight unseen, and money changed hands? Um, ya right.
