Are there any advantages to being a veteran when I apply for my carry permit? I plan to go today and have my form DD214 with me just in case. Thanks

Thanks, I didn't think so and could not find anything other than active duty do not need a permit at all.

Well it's done. Was much easier than I expected. I did ask about veteran advantages while I was there and as ya'll said, NONE. Now just wait to see how long it takes to get my permit in the mail.
