In Cumming, I picked up several boxes of .243 Win, Monarch brand, 100 grain soft point, brass cased, for $11 per box of 20. That was $5 off the normal price.

When Academy has an ammo sale, they really mark it down significantly.

Gainesville store had the same yesterday. I tend to buy 444 ammo anytime I find it under $30 a box. It's some type of deep seeded fear of not being able to feed that beast I guess. I had some old receipts from Academy in the boxes. I have paid $42, $31, $28, and now $21 per box for the same Remington ammo since hunting season last year.

Morale of the story... buy it on clearance instead of during hunting season.

As a side note, they also had probably 10 Bucket o bullets 22s for $79/1400. That's about 6 cents a round including tax.
