I think this is what is bothering me the most. Common sense is just dead. I haven't peen underage for anything in decades. My kids aren't even underage for anything anymore. It's just nonsense.
Well, ironically that's what I had to do, since I had just renewed my GADL and it wasn't even in yet.
I'll never in my life forget the time decades ago when I was in line behind a much older guy in Kroger. He had clearly been gardening or working in the yard all day. Was all sweaty in his tee-shirt and shorts, tall black socks, dark shoes and all. Was buying a big bottle of table wine. Kid carded him. Now I mean this guy was clearly of age, a grandfather at minimum. He started ok, but absolutely lost his crap when the kid wouldn't budge. Turned out gramps didn't even have his ID from doing all the yard work, just a twenty in hand. It was getting out of hand for a hot minute. A crowd was gathering to take it all in. I was caught up in it being next in line. Needless to say a manager arrived and sold the guy his wine, but i thought it was all about to go down, cops and all for a minute there. Old dude was leaving with that wine, and he did. Honestly it was all a little inspiring as a young buck. An epic battle for the revival of common sense.
It's not even about being offended that they might think I'm too young, it's just idiocy to think I'm not.
