Academy's fails.

When I buy guns there they always remove the trigger lock. I won't buy one without feeling the trigger. But I'm going to Academy in Hammond Louisiana so others may be different.

It sucks but I mean there are valid reasons.

Where I work they told us to remove the trigger lock from pistols, but NOT long guns.
They said there was someone who had loaded a shotgun (or rifle?) in another store and committed suicide. It has been a few years, but I think that was the gist of the story.
I guess corporate didn't think the same could be done with a pistol. (I know...)

I worked at the gun counter 1 year at Academy over Christmas. Having seen the gun handling of 98% of the customers I would not remove the trigger lock until the gun is sold either. Some days you had a muzzle pointed at you almost once an hour. Sure everyone on the ODT is a Delta ninja sniper CIA operative. But everyone who walks into Academy can barely operate a gun. The stuff you hear in 3 months behind the counter will change your mind about gun control
