Adoption question… attorney????

My son who will be 25 this year wants my wife to adopt him.
He is stationed in Delaware in the air force currently.
How hard would it be for this to happen?
We don’t know where his mother is and haven’t had contact with her in 10+ years.
Anyone familiar with this type scenario have any actual recommendations?

They have gotten along great for the most for the last 20 years

But they didn’t have any actual help other than hiring an attorney
Since we are on bartow county ga they told him we had to file since her being the adopting person lives in said county

Wills, Powers of Attorney, Notarizing actions, etc., The Base Legal assistance should have a template for adoption guidance. It will surely take an appointment and a sit down. Then some action and follow up appointments.

Had to do that 11 years ago when I got sole custody of his younger sister
So she is good
