Adventure Outdoors is not done Fighting

So why isn't bloomberg being prosecuted for participating in straw purchases? Typical liberal bravo sierra.

I will NEVER spend so much as a dime in New York. I HATE that place and the people that live there.

AKGuy spend your pennies where you want - but I'm from NY City - grew up there - before I spent 24 years of my life as a professional officer defending the whole country (that includes both Georgia and NY). I don't like Bloomberg any more than you and didn't vote for him and I hope he loses this and a number of other gun-related cases at bar right now BUT please don't make the rather infantile mistake of thinking everyone in NY, even the city of, is like Bloomberg.

You should instead have sympathy for the silent majority of New Yorkers who try to live their lives while oppressed by a city government that runs amok in many ways. I will also point out to you that there were a whole lot of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines that come from that city and render honorable service every day of the year. So, if you don't like Bloomberg - more power to you. I didn't like Andy Young when he was mayor of Atlanta or UN Ambassador or that idiot Carter when he was president but it didn't make me slander and hate all people from Georgia. Maybe you want to think twice before dumping on an entire city of people, most of whom work just as hard and have just as much love for their country as all the decent folks down here.

Wrong. You and I can carry a gun in ATL to defend ourselves from the hoodrats that are totin' 9's. Can't carry in NYC, unless you're part of their police state. But the hoodrats up there still have 9's.

Got what you're saying, but the stats across the board show high rates or gun murders, gun robberies and gun assaults per capita in Georgia. And the total number (not per capita - total) of handgun murders is almost twice as high in the state of Georgia as in New York state which has a higher population. In addition, general crime rates both violent and property are higher in Atlanta than NY City.

I think NYers should be allowed their constitutional right to bear arms as guaranteed by the Federal Constitution, and the stats don't mean much when you are the guy being robbed or assaulted, but overall the stats show that Atlanta has a much higher violent and property crime rate than NY City.

All big cities suck!!! I am from Miami and It sucks their too ..I can carry my gun their, but it still sucks ..ATL, NY, & LA also suck, but at least they are not Chicago!!

We must remember there are good and bad everywhere. The only problem I have with New Yorkers is that they allowed this to happen. This now sets precedence for other cities to do the same..

Oo I also don't like New Yorkers because of the Yankees, Knicks and those horrible freaking JETS!!!! LOL ,,,Go Dolphins!!

I'm from NY City

New York City?!?! Get a rope!

;)

Cmon folks. We all know Bloomberg thinks the laws are tools to be used and changed at his convenience. The crook had the term limits removed(well extended) so he could buy his latest term in office. Dumascraps are thieves, hustlers and con artists. Just expect it and don't be blaming the hordes of sheep that fall for their crap.

It's kinda hard for me to sympathize with people who willingly elect people like bloomberg. That being said, I do have respect for military personnel, regardless of where they choose to live. I also have a lot of respect for the firemen and police officers (some of whom made the ultimate sacrifice) that were involved in 9/11. But I wouldn't even spit in the direction of most of the civilians in that city. They are loud, rude, obnoxious, liberal a-holes that I couldn't care less about.

If they were the majority, they would have run Bloomberg out.

No, I like my hood. Keeps my head warm at night, especially in these backwoods hicktard parts.;)

I WAS talking about the city you a**hole prick. Did I say NY state? No. I'm talking about the piss hole of a city you guys think is so cool that is filled with lying, liberal douchebags (i.e. bloomberg). I would have guessed you could infer that, given the fact that our discussion until this point has been centered around NYC, mr. enlightened intellectual.

No you said NY not NYC you spoke holistically of all the state by failing to classify what you were discussing. I might be a prick but damnit I try to understand why people do the things they do. You Hate NYC? Have you ever been there or are you judging on party lines because Bloomberg is a nut. You are so quick to classify the entire city as terrible and liberal yet refuse to set foot there. Sounds like you are making impromptu judgments about a group of people you have never met. Thanks for doing that but please keep your opinions about entire groups of people to yourself.

AKguy,

Thank you for the military bump!

However, I respectfully, submit that while there are indeed a lot of rude or obnoxious people in NY City that is a condition not unknown in your own fine state of Georgia. I am not going to make a list of the faults I can find with people here because it wouldn't accomplish much - we could spend all day slinging stereotypes around. In my entire career of moving about the US I have yet to find anyplace where there weren't plenty of good people and good things to do/see - that includes, the Southwest, the West (California), the mid-West and the East (north and south) along with whatever unfortunate local-isms were also present. You are entitled to your opinion and I doubt I can do anything to change it on the whole. Yet, I also don't think that I, my family, my friends, or most of the people I knew growing up fit your stereotype and I find it particularly un-mannerly (that's supposed to be a Southern good trait - manners) to slam whole populations at a swipe.
