Adventure Outdoors Range

I hope he does pounce if you aren't following the video, that is his job. Do you think that you are so good that you don't have to follow the rules they set forth?

job or not, its really annoying to rent a space and have it hovered over

im all for monitoring, but i have been to a few places where the range officer was way over-zealous

i enjoy safety to, but im not going to go a range where the RO assumes everyone is unqualified to handle a firearm

(i havent been to the AO range yet, dont think i will go though)

You know I hate to say this, but as an RO, I dont know you from the next guy, you could have 1million hours of training, but I dont know that. The guy that walks up behind you may have no training at all, I dont know what either level of knowledge is, so I have to treat everyone the same and treat them as if they have minimal knowledge.

There are a lot of newcomers to the sport that think they know what they are doing when it comes to handling a firearm. I don't shoot indoors much because it's no fun shooting paper. But when I do I want to feel safe so I don't mind the rules. No matter how careful you think you are things still happen even to the professionals.

i understand that, and i think its necessary to monitor all guests, its just that sometimes the RO can be way to much. there is a difference in being a good monitor and keeping an eye on people, and harassing them (not serious harassment, but im one of those people who dont like to have someone stand behind me for a while, im all fine with observing from a distance)
