AdventureOutdoors Ruger Days May 17-19

No I do not work there, I thought the price on the Ruger takedown was decent. I do not have a problem with adventure outdoors when I go in expecting a wait. I do not expect advice when i shop for a gun because I do my research thoroughly beforehand.

But I guess I will just keep these ads to myself next time.

don't take it personnel, some folks just don't like AO, I have NEVER had a problem with them. The public is out of control, you don't get Glock service everywhere

I was in there Friday, and blown away. Every single counter worker asked me if I needed help. Even ones already with customers checked on me.

I got a feeling they got a customers drive our business speech.

I was pleasantly surprised. They didnt have what I wanted, but it was a stark contrast to previous visits where I couldnt get anyone to help me because they were chatting with each other or standing there while someone had a gun and refusing to even acknowledge me.

Cherokee seems to get good reviews on here. I'd like to drop by but they're a bit too far for me to just go and window shop as well. I've also called the number on their site at least a dozen times the past few weeks during their business hours and nobody ever answered. Ever. Kind of.strange

I have seen a night and day difference in AO's customer service since moving across the street. They seem to be employing more active and retired service men and women that are more attentive and respectful of the customer's needs. I went in looking for some cleaning supplies and a young active military man came up to me and discussed the pro's and con's of snakes vs rods since I was new to the "snake" gun cleaning party.

Their prices don't seem terribly bad for retail and they usually have a decent selection in stock. I don't like how they have their ammo arranged nor the lack of decent IWB holsters for sale. And although I know it's for insurance purposes, I dont care for the "gun check" at the front door (I'm sure they don't want people pulling out loaded weapons trying them in holsters, etc. and them going off).

Now mind you there are still some dumbnuts that work there still. As I continued to shop towards the back of the store, there was an older gentleman working behind the gun counter that was playing with a new S&W Bodyguard laser that happened to land on me...I was not too happy with having a red laser painted on me and made sure to re-introduce him the 4 rules of gun safety.

I'm not sure why their gun range nor their Remington Cafe hasn't opened yet. But seeing that they are within 5 miles of my house, I'll probably spend some time in there shooting the bull with some guys. I appreciate when someone posts an ad on here. We shouldn't discourage people from posting because of our own bias.

Guess I`m strange.I don`t WANT any help in a store unless I ask for it.Don`t wanta be bothered or pressured.AO always helped me when I asked for it.Some folks wanta be treated like Donald Trump when they walk in the door.Since Academy opened in Hiram,I won`t stray far.I see more stock being added already.
