Advice for buying furniture? Best places to deal with? Gwinnett

Since we have no idea when we are going to find a house, we decided to go ahead and replace our junk couch. I might get a recliner too.


Haven't bought new furniture before so I thought I would see if anyone has any preferences or warnings. I see the name Rooms to Go and Ashley quite a bit. There are small furniture places in the malls, but I have no idea what the quality is like.

I'm in Suwanee btw.

Wherever you go, if you don’t find something in stock, be prepared to wait. We ordered furniture in Nov 2020. It was delivered in June 2021.

That's a good place to get a nice used mattress.

Used is likely the best value. I do like oak furniture. If it's put together well, it'll last a lifetime.

new furniture is made pretty bad (most of it I have seen) and super expensive, and you have to wait if they have to order it. Everybody says its like 6+ months for most things.
