I’ve bought one before too simply because it’s got spikes.... I call it the horny melon, I had no clue that’s what it’s name was. I couldn’t eat it so I threw it away.

I have a couple of these plants started in the greenhouse now. Not highly encouraged by your review. They are actually a type of melon.

They're pretty and colorful for sure. You may like them...pick one up at the grocery store to try if you can. I got mine at Kroger. The flesh around the green part actually wasn't bad but there's very little of it...the green part is the main part to eat, the main thing i found objectionable was the texture.

I had to Google it, it's called the Kiwano Melon. I couldn't remember but that's what was on the sticker. Melon...how bad could it be, right? Lol!
