AND.....it looks like they put the battery compartment at 2 O'clock like they did with the M4 before they wised up and moved it to the 7 O'clock, creating the M4s. I wonder how long before the M5s comes along?

Me too. I'm guessing at least 80,000 hours like the M4/M4s.....Maybe more? Or maybe less because it runs on a AAA?

If like weapon lights, probably less, but who knows what advancements they have made to help conserve power yet still have a well illuminated reticle.
