Aimpoint pro vs eotech

I have 3 eotech's and to be honest the only reason I got them is because I have a family member who works for them and can get them for more than 1/2 off. If I had to pay full retail price there's no way I would get one. The Eotech paired with their multiplier was pretty good, but not worth the almost $1000 for the pair. I prefer Trijicion.

I have both... an Eotech 512 and an Aimpoint Comp M2. They're both great optics, and IMHO, you won't be disappointed either way. I like the fact that the Eotech uses AA's which are obviously easier to come by, but the Aimpoint's supposedly last for years on one battery (haven't had mine long enough to know). The Aimpoint reticle is very crisp and seems to be more precise, but I'm very accurate with either.

Thanks guys a lot of great responses here. I have to say I am kind of leaning toward the aimpoint now. Hope it is as rugged and reliable as everyone says it is. I will mostly just be doing a little can shooting and probably crack a few hogs with my AR.

I would suggest going out to some retailers and putting your hands on both and seeing which one you prefer. Most of the shops that carry them have no problems letting you try one, you're making a pretty significant investment so make sure you get what you want.
