Hey Guys,

I use RS Andrews mainly because I've used them before and been relatively happy with them. It just seems like I get hosed by them $$$$ and the worst part is I can't tell. LOL

Question, is it typical to pay for the diagnostic fee...in this case 89.00... if they do the repairs? I thought most times that if you elected them for the repair work the diagnostic fee was waived.

I've included the receipt. You air guys let me know if I'm getting the shaft.

Each company can market how they want to and there are no set fees they have to go by

Example one shop i worked for we would wave diag if we fixed your car

Another shop we didnt

Reason why
1st shop mechanics are salary and we can

2nd all techs flat rate only get paid for what they turn so we didnt wave diag

But me being a customer it would be nice to see waved lol

Now keep in mind i know a few shops that would wave diags but up price elsewhere

So keep that in mind too

$89 bucks to change a filter wow

I bought one , nice one from ace for 13 bucks and took about 10 secs to replace

Wow there was noooooooo Vaseline used at all.

Dang what filters you using, is it a high merv rating? Depends on the company, ask them about it. Sometimes it's factored in towards the cost of fixing the problem
