Well - I did it. I bought an airplane kit. Vans RV10. Project will take me a few years to complete. Fuselage is in basement. Wing, empennage, and tail kit will be picked up Saturday. I will post pictures every few months showing progress as it occurs.

RV10 is a 4 place. 170 ktas airplane. Looking forward to making it into what I want. If anyone out there has experience and can provide local input / help - let me know.

I am an A&P mechanic and private pilot. I own a 65/Aircoupe and a RV7. I did not build my RV I bought it with 61 hours on it. It is going through an IFR upgrade right now.

I live in Villa Rica and have 2 hangars. One at the Atlanta Motor Speedway and another at Stockmar in Villa Rica.

I don’t know what your skill set is, but I’d be willing to give you a hand when you need one.

I live in Villa Rica and have 2 hangars. One at the Atlanta Motor Speedway and another at Stockmar in Villa Rica.

I don’t know what your skill set is, but I’d be willing to give you a hand when you need one.

My brother had a hanger at stockmar back before Dodgy s accident. He built a Kitfox and kept it for a few years. Now has a Sirrus Vision Jet. Has had a hanger out at west ga regional for a long time now. Yall May know one another’s

A close friend I had in high school, his father built one in their garage. I would go over to his house to pick him up or just to hang out and I would sometimes spend 30 mins looking at that plane and talking with his dad. Very interesting stuff. I would say he spent maybe close to 2 yrs on it …. there abouts. Maybe a little longer.
But I thought it was really cool. 😎

That is awesome!! I had a friend build a Falco from nothing but plans! He almost talked me into building an RV8. Life took me in a different direction but I do love GA flying!
