My house is just off the 28 end of the runway. There is not whole lot of activity. I would have flown today if it wasn’t so cold. I will not start the motor below 35 degrees.
I had Tanis heating pads on my 177rg io360 and a cell phone on/off switch so I could preheat it as I drove to the airport. Will do the same for the RV io540.

I live about 2 miles north through the woods off the runway. I can see the strobe light on an overcast night.

Howdy neighbor, I’m sure you pass right by my place all the time. I’m right by the marathon in New Ga.

Some of y'all are really out there building freaking air planes in your garages and I'm standing in my shower, wet and pissed off, wondering how many more times Imma have to pull this showerhead off and retape the threads to see if they gone leak this time! :frusty:
There is a big difference between building an entire aircraft where you get to install EVERY rivet, nut, bolt, screw, wire, and switch. And buying an aircraft that was built and had been flying and needs stuff ( EXPENSIVE STUFF) to get it airworthy.

update: slow going - work is very busy and kiddos have their activities.

I finished bucking the aft top skin rivets.
Front floor pans riveted in place.
Front seat supports match drilled, countersunk and test fitted.
Side panels match drilled, dimpled, nutplates installed, test fit complete.
Rear seat pans match drilled, dimpled, nutplates installed.

I now see why this will be a multi-year project....

Anyone handy at painting, like automotive painting? I need to paint the interior (SW Jetflex) and have never used a HVLP gun. Would love some pointers or help. Basically, the interior needs coated (after taping off some things). It is primed with SW p60g2, and a few parts SEM.
