ak 47 mags

Tapco work good i have 8 of them not one hiccup other then i had to take some sand paper to a couple so they would fit in the magwell but if you have a WASR and have a loose magwell this solves it.

Tapcos get a bad rap by most everyone but I've never had a problem with mine. Bought two US Palms and one binds with more than fifteen rounds. I like the eastern european surplus steel myself. They shake like all get out in the mag well but they work 100%.

I got a good deal on a couple of those surplus mags from David at classic city firearms.

AK mags are not like AR mags the specifications and tolerances for construction are not as precise as that with the AR, with that said any Polymer mag you get for the AK will fit (Sometimes) but will most likely require alteration in the form of sanding the mag down to fit the well.

Metal mags always work better in the AK, unless you just want something to go and plink around with.

I would rather stick to mil surplus mags but man, at around 35 bucks a piece? Im willing to pay up to 20 a piece so that's why I was looking at the plastic ones. That being said I don't shoot it much,I just want to have it ready in case s**t hits the roof.

You would be better off getting with an older "Collector" since this executive order has dried up a lot of the importation of our commie mags. With that said you can circumvent the system by finding "Mag Parts" and assembling the mag yourself.....

Ive run a few Tapcos in my WASR, AB2, and Krink and they all require slight modification so which ever mag you modify for what weapon designate it with some colored electrical tape.

If you can find some us palms on sale they are nice, but I'm a fan of the yugo BHO's. if you look hard enough you can find them for around $20 each. I wouldn't trust my life to a tapco. I've owned a couple and got rid of them.

Centerfire systems has Hungarian Tanker 20 rounders for 17$ right now, the mag prices are coming down. I would watch the main suppliers for specials, I just saw some Romy surplus mags sell for 10 a piece and if you bought 10 they were 9 bucks.
