In all seriousness, I'd not give it another thought. You would do well to not have anything like that in your house.

It looks like a suppressor to me, and I think the website is probably lying when they say that it will not change the sound of the shot from a 7.62

These are the pictures I sent to the ATF agent. To answer your question no it fails to suppress the sound of 7.62x39 standard ammunition to anywhere near hearing safe levels if at all, but I never tried 7.62x39 subsonics. Like I told the agents when they finally came to pick it up (around a year after I reported it), it would be very bulky, less than ideal, yet somewhat functional at suppressing 22..... kinda the way most things will.
  1. Used as directed it captured the flash (not unlike Flash Can's ) when used on a standard 7.62x39 AK47 AKM patterned rifle like It was designed for. (At the time neither myself nor the ATF could locate what the model was or who manufactured the device as it came without markings attached to an ak purchased on arms list ) the "Baffle System" was more of a sound redirector for such a well machined piece. I just wasn't 100% sure if the intended design was secretly to be a sound suppressor or anything rather than It's advertised purpose of flash containment, as a flash containment device It did exceedingly well.
