I thought about that but was concerned about having enough people in each category to make it a viable thread.

I've built a few AKs, need lots of tools which are out there. Instead of a half hr AR build it will take a couple days. Just my 2cents.....but I'll be watching this thread for more knowledge

Spot on, I've built quite a few ak's but up until a few months ago had never done an ar. Bought the stuff and had it assembled in a half hour. Building ak's definately takes time and patience. Even conversions can take time, took about a week of working on this Saiga 74' conversion. But I wanted it just right, lol
