AK fore-ends/handguards

Looking at the Arsenal Inc handguard and the Tapco Galil. Main purpose is heat reduction. Anyone have any testimonials? I have to say, I am a little leery of the Tapco handguard. My SKS is outfitted in Tapco furniture and I'm not too crazy about it. But, if it will cut down on the heat, I'll get it.

Yeah...I'm not really into adding a bunch of weight to my rifle, and I'm not into hanging accessories on it either. So, as awesome as the Ultimak rail looks, it doesn't really fir my needs.

Get a set of Russian plum from Apex Gun Parts. Its listed under Bulgarian 74 accessories. Only the salmon grip is Bulgarian, the rest is Russian as is all imported Plum furniture. The Russian are the only ones to ever make Plum furniture, except Arsenal in Vegas. Arsenal in Vegas is kindy $%#$%#$%#$%#ty on their plastic, the mold is the same but the actual plastic composition is different. My guess is it would have cost them signifigantly to reproduce the high quality Russian material. That or some type of Russian or Polish laminated wood are the best quality OEM handguards. Aftermarket is Ultimak everything else sucks. That Tapco handguard will actually melt & drip off the barrel in big clumps.
