alerts settings

Somehow I am getting alerts for threads I am not subscribed to.

Today I got the following alert:

1. 
   Alaskan in Georgia started a thread called Marlin 1895 22 inch 45-70 JM stamped Mods. There may be more posts after this.
   3:34 AM

I can't figure out how to change some setting so I don't get these alerts. I looked on settings and can't figure it out
