Alpaca Mexican silver grips for 1911? Who knows about these?

These guys know something about these grips I don't, and that's driving me nuts

Is it like a factory box for some guns? Not really worth much by themselves; but without them, the original gun value may drop in half without the correct set.

supposedly they are German silver. I have read about them and have seen them all over the board price wise I guess somebody really wants that set. The ones that seem to gather the most money or the ones with the Mayan calendar

That's what I found as well, I saw the ones with Mayan calendars selling around $100. Really really fancy ones with deep engraving selling around $200. So why they hell is this ragged pair sitting at $500?

Of course I'm not complaining, maybe the buyer will fill me in.
