Hmm, they claim the grips to be solid 10k gold. The gold parts certainly look plated to me.

I don't have anything for you. One of the ugliest pistols I've ever seen...but I'm guessing somebody has one and is missing the grips for it and that's what's driving the price up.
Lucky for me it appears two or three people have a pistol missing the grips.
