Amazon Ring cameras hacked, kids spied on and harassed

A great example of why I don’t trust Amazon Echo, Alexa, Ring, Siri, or any of this type of newer standalone interactive tech — it’s too easy to hack. Not to mention horrible company privacy practices.

I don't use it either. My security system is hard wired. I have firestick TV that is Alexa capable but I don't use it and not sure if it can monitor like the stand alone rigs can.

Unfortunately, the internet allows some people to be perverts or to be brave bad asses when they get behind a computer screen. They do and say things they would never say to your face because they know you'd kick their ass or just shoot their sorry asses. A sad sign of the times we live in.
