Has anyone been to Amicalola Falls State Park lately? I was wondering how crowded it is on the weekend. I haven't been there in years but was considering taking some relatives there for a picnic next weekend.

The family and I go atleast once every couple of months. Weekends aren't usually busy...... unless there is an prescheduled event which is usually on their websites. The hotel up top is nice to stay at as well if you ever get the chance.
my mom and dad go there all the time. they love it. one of their favorites
It is crowded on the weekends for sure, especially during the spring and fall seasons.
FYI - Below a website full of awesome hiking trails. The site really hard to navigate, but I been using it for years to find some great, relatively unknown trails in the GA / NC Mountains. https://theblueridgehighlander.com
