Ammo price increase!!

Blake (owner of Trading Places) is a fair and honest man, if you're on Facebook like their website. Blake tries to not "gouge" customers A friend of mine works for a major firearms distributor. He's confirmed that firearms companies have rose their pricing, the of course the distributor has to raise their prices. So by time it gets on the shelf the dealer still has to make a profit. But Blake tries to keep that in balance/fair.

I concur with this assessment of Blake .. always had good honest dealings with him.

We haven't seen anything yet.
Based on reports I'm hearing prices will be rising significantly for awhile & availability is not expected to improve this year on service calibers & .22.
All of the industry insiders I know are saying it is going to get worse.

I agree, all the folks at Trading Place are great! I know Blake is just passing on the increase in cost he has to pay Atlanta Arms & Ammo. Just surprised at the difference between Georgia Arms prices vs Atlanta Arms. Not sure there was that big of a price difference in the past.

Ammo prices have been steadily rising on the wholesale and distributor front for months now. Not only does it cost more to purchase but stores can't buy it in the same quantities that they used to be able too in order to maintain a constant inventory and priceing. Supply has gone way down, demand has gone way up, but monthly expenses/payroll/bills have remained the same. Most places are not only forced to raise thier prices due to wholesale increase but rather have to in order to stay in business due to a shortage of inventory.

As others have already mentioned. You think things are bad right now, just wait. There is no end in sight and I personally believe that ammo prices will continue to rise for quite some time.

I've met Blake and members of his staff in the past and they have always been nice and polite to me. I also find thier range to be the best lighted and ventalated anywhere in my local area. I would happily shoot at thier range anyday.
