I use thread locker and a small stake to sure up the nut.

No offense Greg but this is why we have to keep talking about proper staking. Thread locker on the castle nut does absolutely nothing to keep the buffer tube from rotating.

On a lighter note, my latest three Sig M400 uppers arrived today. Anyone have advice on which lowers I should use? I have some spare Mega Arms, Spikes, a Colt, and at least one DD, along with some cheap PSA's and Aero Precisions. Ahhh, never mind, no one here has an opinion anyway.

Only use the ones that provide the tightest upper to lower fit because obviously that's very, very important.

I looked at a DD from 3-4 years ago. The one staking was good, but that's all they did.

DD used to do a good job with staking. But starting in 2017, they changed the castle nut and staking method. Now, it's more like faux staking and completely inadequate.
