He has to give you 60 days notice, unless a shorter notice is written in your contract that is still inforce.

You can offer to ket him buy your time..youll move in 30 days, but he has to give ya a severence package...couple grand for the imconvenience is typical.

Thanks for the encouraging words, well except for SafeCracka ...
We only had a verbal agreement so getting an attorney probably isn't an option.
He has wanted to sell this place for a while I just wish he would have given us a little more time.

I blew through my savings when I was sick so was just starting to get back on track. I'll probably try to find something to rent near Newnan for 6 months and hopefully I'll have a house down payment around the first of the year.

Or I could sell all my crap and head out to Area 51.
