Anderson nitride 5.56 Barrel 16" - Still trash? Worth $50?

PrimaryArms has a sale on Anderson barrels 556 1:7 16" for $50. Im not a brand snob but I draw the line above poverty ponies. The random less important parts Ive gotten from Anderson in the past have always been out of spec.

Does Anderson still have bad QC?
Are their barrels decent for a spare?

It'll be overgassed, if it's like every single other Anderson 16" barrel that I've measured the gas port on. Oversized gas port.

I’ve seen some Ballistic Advantage barrels on gundeals for under $80 in the last week. ?

I do like the BA barrels much better than the Anderson barrels. The BA barrels tend to have a proper gas port, or be undersized. I can open up an undersized port, but I can't close up an oversized port.
