I despise Amica. Spent an hour on the phone with them to be denied insurance coverage; because, my wife had 2 wrecks a couple years prior (neither of which she was at fault).

You have to have a squeaky clean record for Amica to cover you. The upside is Amica uses only new OEM parts and does not cheap out on the repair.

Get a 49.9 cc moped and you ride it legally with no insurance. As an added benefit you will learn new curse words as you impede the normal flow of traffic and will also enjoy the excitement of trying to evade dogs that want to eat you.

I used to ride a bicycle to school, work, everywhere. I have lots of experience with dogs and beer bottles and very very bad drivers. But I love the post. Thanks

Back in the 1970s when there was the "great gas shortage" my boss and I bought pedal type mopeds to ride to work. We became very familiar with the whistling sound that a flying beer bottle makes. The problem mostly went away when my boss started carrying his M1 carbine slung over his shoulder. We never got advance warning when a big wad of chewed tobacco flew our way.

I got fired by GA. Farm Bureau because after 40 years on no claim driving I was involved in 3 fender benders in 2 years, one of which was highly questionable, totaled less than $3000. I wasn't a "safe driver". Said if I'd had one wreck for more than $3000 I'd be good to go.

Where do you think insurance companies get all that money they pay Ken Nugent or Morgan and Morgan?? PI attorneys win big lawsuits against insurance companies who in turn have to raise premiums to cover expense and we ALL get to pay.

Same thing to a lesser degree are these roofing companies who come inspect your roof so you can file a claim to get a new roof....installed by them, of course.
