Another question about gun value

Prices listed above are good, know it is an early Contender, dont see a safety on the hammer or a center/rimfire
selector, also not an easy open frame. Some folks look for those features, other shy away.

Thanks. Not sure of it's exact age, but knowing who I got it from, I would bet the .45LC barrel has never been used, and the .223 barrel has not had many rounds through it either.
 
That's an early frame, but not one of the earliest - no etching behind the cougar. You're also missing the butt plate on the grip. As stated, it's not an easy open and if the locking lugs are single pieces it can make opening the frame difficult after firing. If the writing on the barrels is a single line they may have value to a collector.

These are what I was talking about, but as pointed out, the grips don't have screw holes and came that way.
