This is why I have cages on my feeder units. Use bolts instead of sell tappers to keep them from pulling back out when you go a fat raccoon hanging on it 😂

My cameras get them all the time, it is a moth which fly at night. Flying squirrels do not roam at night.
I have to disagree. Most species of Flying Squirrels are nocturnal, that's why so few people see them.

We had a pair try to build in the roof of my porch, I plugged to hole they created late one night when they were gone.

Pretty sure that's what is in second pic too.
