Full disclosure:

I'm not a fan of the NRA. I think they have changed over the years and no longer serve as a reasonable lobby for reasonable gun owners.
I think their leaders have exercised poor judgment in how they spend their money.
But the gun club that I hope to join requires NRA membership.
