Great experience, but I am headed back from an unsuccessful elk hunt. Anybody draw a tag or have been successful bagging an elk this year?
Killed 1 October 27, this year’s Cow 49 yards, st water hole!

Elk is damn fine eating! Tags taste like ****. I do envy you OP - it isn't about killing it's about the experience. Hopefully you hunted with family or good friends.

Yep, great group of guys including my 62 year old pops. He impressed me how much he hiked in the back country at 11,000 feet!
