Any guitarist here?

i started on electric cuz thats where my interests were. too many start on acoustic and hate it. you'll love both eventually.
 
I like the way this dude plays and you can tell he's very comfortable playing too. Monte Pittman, think he plays for Prong? Not for sure on that

I would say start with acoustic. if you can do it on acoustic you will kill it on electric. its what I've always taught on. i understand the losing interest argument but i have a lot of friends who started electric and now struggle acoustic even though they have interest now. on another note if you go electric my votes for the mex strat just never liked epi's love gibson but there is a difference.
 
Go to guitar center and try out every guitar you possibly can. Get what comfortable to you and go from there. I used to love going in there and playin guitars for a couple of hours.
