Plastic on the ground is to keep
Rain from splashing mud all over the wall.
Gonna dig a 2' wide perimeter trench and fill with gravel to keep Mud splash at bay.

Looks like a lotta work.

A 2 percent or so plumbed pvc pipe system with holes drilled in it, laid near the bottom of the gravel, with outfalls, might help drain the water and relieve pressure even better. Particularly after a few seasons of silt up.

I have a black French drain pipe with a silt sock buried at base and covered in gravel, routed slopes to exit at each end of side walls.
Silt cloth up the wall and 95 percent gravel backfill.

Eventually gonna lay large, flat pavers on an extremely
Level ground and do the sand trick.
Originally was going to pour a slab but wifey wants the pretty pavers.

That's great I would throw some Skeeter biscuits in there too.
