One of the best guitars I ever played was an early 70's D-55. Outstanding guitar.

My dad has one.

Love me some fender, Gibson. Hell most the list. Love tube amps too but the new ones are way cheaper. I bought 4 fender champion 20s and my buddies love em. I'll tell you the resale value sucks though, been trying to sell one of the champion 20s on here for half price and no interest. Lol

Yep, and for him it is the Telecaster. I actually like the LP better, all around, but there are certain sounds only a Tele can provide, and I do like them a lot.

Yep, teles and strats are very distinct sounding guitars, I’m a fan of them all.

I'll bet. LOL...Those are very nice guitars, and THE Guild to own. They are highly sought after.

If I were looking for an earlier American acoustic, I would be looking at the Guilds. There are some great deals out there for 70's Westerly Guilds. There is one at a local music store here in D'ville for $700. It is a very nice example. I believe it is a D25, but I can't remember exactly.
