'Bout that time I'd be standing next to his dead-azz body after I plugged him. Yea, that would be "near death" fo sho!

This story may take the cake:

I've had several near death experiences. None of which I recall seeing anything strange. The one I'll share involves an active duty (Soon to be discharged) drunk US Air Force serviceman on leave pulled my own pistol on me and robbed me, intending to shoot me execution style. At the same time, my father, over 300 miles away, had a vision of my face and felt an overwhelming feeling of fear and danger. He knelt down at his chair and prayed feverishly for me for 30 minutes until the feelings went away. He then started trying to call me and later my mother. My cell phone was destroyed by the assailant during the incident so I was unable to receive any calls. My mom didn't know what had happened until much later in the evening when I notified her. My entire family was in a panic, calling hospitals, police, etc., looking for me for most of the afternoon, trying to figure out what had happened to me based on my father's vision.

I came out of the situation OK, needless to say but my father's "Vision" still haunts me. My father is gone from this world now but we talked about it several times before he passed and each time concluded that some energy, angel, force, God, Jesus, etc... told him that I was in danger and his prayers interceded for me. I firmly believe it.

The only memorable words I remember thinking during that incident was me thinking to myself, "I'm not dying on my knees!"
