I've got a ak made in Egypt I think they call it a MISC 10. That I bought many years ago and never shot just put in the closet. Is it worth keeping or should I get rid of it and get a Russian made ak while I can?

any one experienced with a maadi

Maadi is one of the best AKs to own IMO. Had one years ago and wished I had never sold it. If you do decide to offload it PM me.
If it says MISR 10 on it it a hybrid Chicom/ Egyptian job that Century built out of parts they could find. They are difficult to run well as the Trunion, barrel and receiver don play well together. They are very sloppily built with very rough fit/finish.
The Maadi imports by ACC Intraac that were built before the Russians pulled out of Egypt were top notch, then the Egyptians built their own for a while (SA MISR) then they sold the rest of their parts to Century who mates them with Chicom spares to build the MISR 10 abortion.

Yea I think it may be one of the hybrids. Still might be a fine gun like I said I never got around to using it not once. I just got it out of the box Friday to look at it and see what I had since the frenzy started last week.
