I’m looking to become a police officer. I’ve always had the interest but now I am actively looking to join the force. I am not POST certified. If anyone has any direct contact or capability to seriously help me accomplish this venture, please let me know. I have applied for serveral departments but feel that I will just be another name in a stack of applications.

I have seen several advertisements for positions with the Georgia State Patrol. They had a booth set up at the National Fair in Perry and I have seen a couple of billboards up and down I-75. I applied with them way, way back in 1972, I am now 73 years old. Was rejected because I am color blind. Got to be able to tell what color vehicle the bad guys are driving. Always wanted to be a "trooper", but the Almighty had other plans for me. Hope my profession pleased Him, but I hated it for 39 years. Take my advice, "Make life happen for you and not to you". You will be a much happier person by doing so.....
