I've had an E-lock safe for many years, no prob.

Apparently, you only need one!

But the reviews of the electronic ones on line We’re enough to scare me away

Cheap Chinese, yes. LaGuard or S&G, no.
If electronic lock has a key back up, it is junk, stay away.

Were those "EMP locks" or whatever they were called awhile back junk?
I think cannon had them. Electronic lock with mechanical backup.
I thought it was a cool idea but assumed it was a gimmick.

Sentry safes are pure junk. Many electronic safes can be defeated with a magnet put in the right place. Check youtube for info on anything you consider buying, many "safes" have easy hacks...

I like having 2. Long guns in one and handguns in another. I put several rows of shelves in one to use hangers for handguns
