Any roofers on the trader??

Yeah , I’ve had 2 bad referrals from guys on here .

Crazy to hear. Seems like of all the people to take good care of another ODT’er would be way up the list.

Call you insurance company, open a claim, then the adjuster will come out and check it. I got my son in law to take pictures and sent them to my agent and went from there.

I’d 100% recommend talking to a roofer (regardless of if it’s me or someone else) before you file a claim. I deal with insurance claims on roofs all day every day and you’ve gotta do it right if you want to give yourself the best chance of getting coverage.

Yeah. But don’t waste your time with Allstate . They’re only interested in your money . My previous post ties in to this . Roofer charged the wife $1,100 to deal with insurance company to get the roof repaired. Guaranteed it would cost no more . I was in the hospital with heart issues , so wasn’t aware . Allstate said no . That’s where the $25,000 estimate started . Roofers are scum ! Chimney repair people not much better . Had one referrred from here . PM’d about a new cap. Evidently he referred to another company. They quoted $3,400 for it. Just had it done for $900 . No way will I use anyone from this site ! Rant over !

This. Id be fine with the roofer meeting at the same time as the adjuster. State farm doesnt like to pay out.

Thats a concern. Some of the biggest shisters Ive ever met were roofers. But I figure I mitigate my chances dealing on here.

Really sad thing is , my roof is 35 years old , no way an insurance company is going to replace a worn out shingle roof . Came thru after a bad wind/hail storm . Tore some shingles off . But on the plus side I have some pretty blue patches and some mismatched shingle places .

Yeah especially if you’ve got Allstate they’ll call anything older than 15 years wear and tear every time. If you ever want a straightforward quote on replacing it lemme know.

I'll withdraw my guy, I don't recommend much but this man is awesome, good luck with everything.
