I have had many over the years come and go. Picked up this 1899 chambered in 30/30. All original gun unmodified (no extra holes). Early model with 26 inch barrel.

These things use to be around quite a bit. Just never see them or here anyone mention them anymore.

Guessing since they aren’t threaded or black they just not cool anymore and are forgotten in closets. 🤣

My father had one exactly like that that he put many a deer in the freezer with, but it was pawned one year when things got tight under Bush Sr and never made it back home. I've gone to Henrys myself, and the old AR platform which is just OK. Seems like it kicked like a mule though I was just a young lad when I shot it. I still like seeing the picture though. Good memories.
