Fished below the dam for an hour today on my lunch break. No luck. Stripers will be there in a couple months.

ive always wanted to catch one from the bank. possible?

100%. Do it every summer. Kayak makes it easier but 100% doable from the bank.

i need to go get em. i have 5 kayaks but sold my truck so no way to transport them.

I keep my big boat down near St. George island. Just up the river at Bay City Lodge, Apalachicola. I try get down there once a month or so. But the weather has been very windy for offshore fishing the last couple of months.
About a year and a half ago I bought my Venice, Tuna captains old boat. It's a Glacier bay 260, it's a smooth riding fishing machine. It just got too slow for fishing in Venice now. Now everyone is running triples or quads... Venice in 2005 Half the fleet were running glacier bays, they were the bee's knees.

Hey Captain Matt, do you charter fishing trips out of Apalachicola? We have a place at Cape San Blas and would love to do an offshore trip sometime. Let me know if this is possible, if so PM details. Thanks Steelhorse

Was out walking by the river south of Don white, man it looks great. Dry fly low water .
