Anybody use the Lee Charge Bar w/ their auto disk?

The best thing about the Autodisk is they are affordable enough to have one for each caliber you load for and leave them set up.
I've found them to be just as accurate as some high dollar measures...

I have two of the LEE auto-disk powder dispensers that I have used with True Blue, 2400, W296, Varget, & CFE223. I have used single disc, double disc, and micrometer systems, and all have worked well with those powders. I now use the micrometer system with all pistol loads (even 44 magnum loading W296 under various 240 grain bullets) with very consistent results, and the ability to change the charge very quickly. The micrometer is also great when I am working up loads and want to step up through powder charges incrementally...no disassembly / reassembly of the disc system required for each charge change. I don't care what or whose powder measure system I use, I verify drops on my scale frequently.

I use a couple pro autodisks; one set up with the mic charge bar, and the other set up with double disk. I have used 2400, True Blue, W296, and CFE Pistol powders all with excellent results. I prefer using the charge bar as small adjustments are so very simple and fast. Have not used it with large flake powder yet, but I expect it will work as well as any other powder dispenser without a built in scale. I also have had nothing but good experiences with Lee equipment including Classic 4 position turret press, Modern Reloading manual, dies including factory crimp, bulge buster in 45 auto and ergo prime hand held priming unit. I avoided the scale due to the multitude of ill commentaries. The CHARGE BAR was a very good purchase. Very glad to have it due to the ease of adjustment and operation. It's dependable with the listed powders to +/- 0.1 grain or better.

jjrock,
Would be $$ very well spent. Very pleased with the performance of the Lee micro charge bar in my auto disk. I am even able to load 44 magnum. I tend to use powders like CFE pistol, Ramshot True Blue, W296. I have some silouhette, but haven't tried it yet. Those powders I have tried work fine, even at low charge weights (well, W296 wasn't a low charge weight). The charge bar save's a lot of time and allows quick change to the charge weight when working up a new load or switching my Lee turret to a different caliber...worth every cent I paid for it. I also have had very good stable load weights from the unit. If I had a complaint it would be to increase the capacity of the unit, or to allow it to be used with a double disk kit, to expand its usefulness. It would really help to speed up load development in rifle loads. There doesn't seem to be any backlash in the micrometer adjustment, but I always come at a new setting from the same direction every time, just to be sure. Make sure you loosen your brass nuts when making micrometer adjustments, and retighten when your done adjusting. I 2nd the warning about low charge weights with flake powders...Lee even warns about this.
