anyone eat opossum... recipes?

When they attack my cat and eat my high dollar cat food. THEN they cause a problem. I had one almost attack me. Call me an A hole for protecting my cat. Thats cool. I can live with that. Ive shot over 15 in the past couple months. If you are hungry your welcome to them.

i wouldnt call you an a-hole for protecting your cat... but probably :pound: that you own a cat AND feed it high dollar cat food. I bet you dress it up at christmas and feed it fancy feast while you are wearing your fuzzy scarf . Mikhail Kalashnikov would not be your friend anymore

hah. Its my mothers cat. She moved to florida and already has 2 dogs. They would not allow more than 2 pets where she lives. So, I got stuck with him, he is a cool cat though. He comes and scratches on my window when the little pests are outside. He knows whats up.

they usually they sit in the trees behind my house and just piss off my dog real good. last night, a big ole one was halfway to my back door mouth open, teeth shown and continually walking towards my frantic dog while making a very creepy and terrible hiss noise.

so i kinda shot him in the face... just curious if they were good eatin cause I typically try not to kill stuff unless I plan to eat... with people being the exception

LMAO!

They eat along side my cats all the time and I have regularly had to drag them out of live traps by their tail and other then hissing and showing their teeth I have never seen in aggressive behavior you might want to make sure you have opossums. I was suprised when I started having to take them out of traps that they didn't try to bite me.(Warning do not try this at home results may very,I may just be a opossum whisperer)

Recipe

1 large trash bag.
2 bars of disenfecting soap.
1 shovel
1 tetanus shot kit.
1 hole 18in deep x 18in long x 10in wide

Insert possum into hole and fill until the ugly bastard can no longer be seen or smelled.

they are. Look just like the ones in the picture. I guess my cat starts it. I dunno. Either way. I cant have that. I understand where your coming from BUT that cat food is not cheap. Hate to sound like a cheap SOB but it aint. Showing their teeth is enough for me to see as aggressive behavior. Just sayin.

:drum:

My experience is that switching to low-budget cat food may attract raccoons instead -- if that's any help.

I'd cook one and eat one if anyone else would clean it. Something just seems messy about them.
I eat squirrel, and at least the possum is not a rodent so that should be better right?
