Anyone Else Addicted To Jeeps?

Never had one. I sold Jeeps at Marietta Jeep/Eagle when the Dome was still open. Gill Hodges was the owner. That man had more money than God. That was back when the new Grand Cherokee Limited in Hunter Green was the status symbol in Buckhead. I must have sold 200 of those Jeep Wranglers. We use to run a sale on the base model. It was a stripped down 4 cyl., manual trans., soft top, no carpet or rear seats and no power steering. Now get this! That Jeep on sale was $9,999.00.. Can you believe that? If that wasn't the crazy enough every now and then when I first started they would run one stock number for $8,999.00.. The salesman would attempt to hide that stock number (Jeep Wrangler ) in the vast back lot of Marietta Dodge, Marietta Jeep property. Devious bastards.
We sold a couple of 6 cylinder models to Atlanta Hawks players and Braves customers. They would spend $22,000 on a brand new Rubicon and then put $10-15,000 on dressing the Jeep up. You could buy one of those if you negotiated fiercely for around 19,000 and change. I saw several of them drive off in 30-40 thousand dollar Wranglers. Unreal! They sure did look good though.
I was the clean up guy there during those days!! Remember the fat dude who did the commercials?? He was a tool, he’s bring his car up there and we would have to detail it. There would be roachs and bear bottles everywhere in it.

Just an old man here, but I do like my 07 JK. Just about everything has been replaced in the drive train and suspension. Engine jasper reman long block, alt, starter, belts, hoses, spark plugs and wires. Along with new radiator, new trans cooler, brakes complete, extended seats rails for 3 inch further adjustment, 2 din Sony radio, 3 piece hard top, tires and wheels, bumpers ft and rear. I'm running out of ink so I'll leave it there. Oh and a total inovations fiberglass hood that is functional.

I sure do! LOL that dude was a freak. Do you remember Eric. The real skinny dude that smoked a ton of weed and drank sweet tea all day. He actually came down to the Jeep Eagle sales showroom and tried his hand at car sales for a while. We use to sneak off in a loaded Grand Cherokee and chief out when it was slow or raining. LOL The good Ole days! That was when the detail shop was on that road that ran just behind the two dealerships. There was an apartment complex on that road just down a bit.
